How to configure Outlook Express to send and receive mails ?
Please follow the steps.
In this example I have taken an example domain > "www.abc.com" that has POP3 already configured using the control panel, the POP3 is info@abc.com
1. Open your Outlook Express
2. Click TOOLS > ACCOUNTS > MAIL > ADD MAIL
3. Enter the Display NAME, click NEXT
4. Enter email address > info@abc.com, click NEXT
5. Enter mail.abc.com for incomming and outgoing servers, click NEXT
6. Enter Account Name > abc
7. Enter Password > "as set by you at the time of creating a POP3 mailbox in the control panel ". click NEXT
8. Click FINISH
9. Select mail.abc.com account under MAIL options and then click PROPERTIES, now select SERVERS ( from TOP menu )
10. Find the Option " Out Going Mail Server" check the box " My server requires authentication" and click OK
11. Congrats ! The setup is done and now you can send and receive emails using your domain "abc.com" |
