Travel Portals
The travel portal can be used by the following group of people as follows
Users :
1. Traveller
2. Tourism Operator ( owner of Hotel or any service like Car rentals, Ferry, shop owner etc)
3. Administrator ( Web site owner)
The Traveler
The Traveler will have the option to search for holiday or vacation spots. The criteria for the search will include -
- Country & Region:
- Specific Search criteria: The traveller can further detail his or her requirements like Dates of stay, pets, smoking/non smoking, children, laundry facilities etc.
- Results Page: This Page would return data based on the search details set by the Customer
- The Traveler can also check tariffs, availability and payment methods.
The Tourism Operator
The Tourism Operator would use the website to set up and edit his own listing that highlights his property information at an annual charge that is payable to the Site owner. He has the ability to add/edit/delete text contents , upload images .
The Administrator
- The administrator will have options that enable him to add or delete listings for new Tourism Operators.
- The administrator will be have the option to view a list of properties that accept online payments and a list of properties for which reservations can only be made through an email form.
- The administrator will have the option to add New Locations, Edit Existing Locations and Delete Locations. He can also add, delete or edit Tourism Operator as well as customer information.
Navigation
The User will be able to access any section of the site they wish
They will be able to access any other section of the site just as easily from deep within the site as they could upon entry to the site
The portal will provide hierarchal search facility over 3 screens. These are type of holiday, geographic location and specific search criteria.
Inputting the search criteria will be achieved by using a combination of drop down menus and checkboxes. Online Payment
The portal will facilitate online payments for listings allowing Tourism Operator to list their properties there and then.
Once a booking has been made a receipt will be automatically emailed to the Tourism Operator. |
